RegoSnap is made by Rajan Gurung, a sole trader in Australia. This policy explains what the app handles, in plain words.

The short version

What the app sends to us

Screenshots you chooseSent to our server and passed to our AI provider to read the listing. Not stored by us afterwards.
PPSR certificate you addSame: read to produce your result, not stored by us afterwards.
A random app IDCreated on your phone by RevenueCat, our purchase service. It isn't linked to you personally.
A one-way hash of your internet addressScrambled so it can't be read back, and used only to stop one person taking unlimited free checks.
Check recordsWhich checks were free or paid, how many reads each used, and when. No car details are stored.

Who else is involved

Processing happens on servers outside Australia, including in the United States and Asia. Anyone we use is bound to handle the data only for the service they provide to us.

How long things are kept

Screenshots and certificates are not stored on our servers once your result is produced. Our AI provider may hold them briefly for abuse monitoring before deleting them. Check records (the table above) are kept while the app runs, so your purchases keep working.

Children

RegoSnap isn't aimed at children and doesn't knowingly collect anything about them.

Your choices

Because there's no account, the only thing tied to your phone is the random app ID. You can email us that ID (it's on the payment screen, hold to copy) and ask us to delete the records linked to it. Uninstalling the app also ends any further collection.
